English rockers Arctic Monkeys have cancelled their Dublin live performance that was set to happen on Tuesday, June 2oth.
The gig was to be held in Marlay Park in Rathfarnham and would have been the band’s first in Eire because the launch of their seventh album The Automotive final yr.
The Hives and The Mysterines had been scheduled to help the Sheffield group on the night time.
Arctic Monkeys introduced on their social media that they had been compelled to cancel the present as a result of their lead singer Alex Turner has been recognized with acute laryngitis.
The band’s assertion learn:
“We’re extraordinarily sorry to announce the cancellation of Arctic Monkeys present at Marlay Park in Dublin tomorrow.
“Alex is affected by acute laryngitis, and following medical recommendation, has been ordered to relaxation.
“Alex and the band apologise for the massive disappointment it will inevitably trigger all their Irish followers.
“Full refunds can be credited again to the ticket purchaser’s account by Ticketmaster throughout the subsequent six working days.”
The band remains to be set to headline the Glastonbury Competition in England on Friday.
